Portuguese Fan Planning a trip to Bielefeld - Looking for ticket help and advice!

    Hi everyone! Sorry for the long post, I hope it’s okay – I’m just really excited and trying to make this trip happen!

    I’m from Portugal and became a passionate Arminia supporter after following the club through a career mode in FIFA a couple of years ago.

    What started as just a save in FIFA turned into something much bigger — I ended up researching the club, its history, the fans, the city… and I truly connected with it all. Since then, I’ve been following Arminia closely and emotionally.

    This past season, I even travelled to Berlin during the DFB-Pokal final weekend just to experience the atmosphere around Arminia fans – even though I didn’t have a ticket to the final. And now, with the new season coming, I’m planning something even bigger: a trip to Bielefeld to finally watch a game at the SchücoArena — or at least to watch Arminia live somewhere.

    I posted about this on Reddit, and most people were very helpful – but also very honest. They told me that getting a ticket as a non-member for a home game might be nearly impossible, especially for big matches like the one against Hannover — which was the exact game I had in mind, since it would be the perfect chance to see both Arminia and Wörl in action.

    One person kindly suggested that an away game might be more realistic, and even mentioned that tickets for Hannover (away) or Düsseldorf could be easier to get, since Arminia usually takes thousands of fans to those. That way, I could still watch Arminia, maybe even join the trip with other fans from Bielefeld, and still fulfil this dream.

    But here’s my big doubt:

    If it’s so hard to get home game tickets, wouldn’t away tickets be just as hard – especially for big games nearby like Hannover? Don’t those also go to members first and sell out quickly?

    It’s a tricky situation because I’d love to book my flight and accommodation soon, but I’m nervous about committing if I don’t have any ticket guarantee. I already had a plan to go to the home game against Hannover in February, but it’s probably too risky unless something changes.

    So now I’m considering the away game in Hannover this September instead. If anyone here could give me advice – or let me know how away tickets usually work (website? members only? general sale?), I’d be incredibly grateful.

    I don’t want to bother anyone or sound desperate – I’m just trying to do things right and plan responsibly. I really care about this!

    Letzte Saison bin ich sogar am Wochenende des DFB-Pokal-Finals nach Berlin gereist – mit meinem Oppie-Trikot – nur um die Atmosphäre rund um die Arminia-Fans zu erleben, obwohl ich kein Ticket fürs Finale hatte.

    Und jetzt, mit dem Beginn der neuen Saison, plane ich etwas noch Größeres: eine Reise nach Bielefeld, um endlich ein Spiel in der SchücoArena live zu sehen – oder zumindest Arminia irgendwo live zu erleben.

    Ich habe darüber schon auf Reddit gepostet, und die meisten Leute waren sehr hilfsbereit – aber auch ehrlich.

    Man sagte mir, dass es als Nicht-Mitglied fast unmöglich sein könnte, ein Ticket für ein Heimspiel zu bekommen, besonders für große Spiele wie das gegen Hannover – genau dieses Spiel hatte ich eigentlich im Kopf, weil es die perfekte Gelegenheit wäre, sowohl Arminia als auch Wörl live zu sehen.

    Eine freundliche Person schlug mir vor, dass ein Auswärtsspiel realistischer sein könnte, und erwähnte sogar, dass Tickets für Hannover (auswärts) oder Düsseldorf vielleicht einfacher zu bekommen wären, da Arminia dafür oft Tausende von Fans mitbringt.

    So könnte ich Arminia trotzdem live sehen, vielleicht sogar gemeinsam mit anderen Bielefeld-Fans anreisen – und mir diesen Traum erfüllen.

    Aber hier ist meine große Frage:

    Wenn es schon so schwer ist, Tickets für Heimspiele zu bekommen, wären Auswärtstickets für solche großen, nahegelegenen Spiele wie gegen Hannover nicht genauso schwer zu bekommen? Gehen die nicht zuerst an Mitglieder und sind schnell ausverkauft?

    Es ist eine schwierige Situation, weil ich gerne bald meinen Flug und meine Unterkunft buchen würde, aber ich habe Angst, mich festzulegen, ohne eine Ticketgarantie zu haben.

    Deshalb denke ich jetzt an das Auswärtsspiel in Hannover im September.

    Wenn mir jemand hier einen Rat geben könnte – oder mir erklären kann, wie das mit den Auswärtstickets normalerweise läuft (Website? Nur für Mitglieder? Freier Verkauf?) – wäre ich unglaublich dankbar.

    Ich möchte niemandem zur Last fallen oder verzweifelt wirken – ich versuche nur, alles richtig zu machen und verantwortungsbewusst zu planen. Es bedeutet mir wirklich viel!

    Die Niederlage in Berlin lässt den Hunger im Verein nur noch weiter wachsen.

    Ich denke auch dass es generell keinen Mitgliederverkauf für normale Heimspiele geben wird? Sondern direkt normaler freier Verkauf? Aber das ist nur geraten. Werden wir erst mit dem ersten Spiel gegen Düsseldorf sehen.

    Ich gehe jede Wette, dass der freie Verkauf Mitglieder NICHT bevorzugt. Wie schon mal hier geschrieben: Der Verein muss auch Neu-Interessenten eine Möglichkeit bieten, mal punktuell ein Spiel zu schauen. Ansonsten kannst Du die Fanbase ja nicht noch weiter vergrößern. Jeder Stammkunde und Hardcore-Fan hat mit einem einzelnen Spiel angefangen.

    Du kannst auch auf Koreanisch antworten. 😜 Kriegst du in 2025 ganz für umme auf Knopfdruck in jede andere Sprache in guter Qualität übersetzt.

    Um jogo fora contra o Hannover parece um plano realista.

    Pessoalmente, se fosse a si, utilizaria a venda antecipada de bilhetes do Hannover 96 e compraria um bilhete na secção de jogos em casa, perto da secção de jogos fora (ou seja, W1, W2, W10, W11, W12 ou S12, S13, S14, bem como S3, S4, S5). Muitos adeptos do Arminia estarão provavelmente sentados nessas secções.

    Preste atenção às datas exatas e as vendas antecipadas de bilhetes gratuitas começam em Hannover - por isso não deverá ser um problema.

    Tem também uma boa e rápida forma de chegar a Hannover via aeroporto, vindo de Portugal.

    Um jogo em casa em Bielefeld pode ser mais difícil, mas não impossível. Em caso de dúvida, invista um pouco mais em bilhetes e experimente o mercado negro.

    Ou pode enviar outro pedido se tiver um jogo específico com data fixa e pedir ajuda a um membro para comprar bilhetes, possivelmente através do mercado secundário. Traduzi aqui o meu texto com um tradutor, espero que seja compreensível e útil ;)

    First of all, I think it's great that you've found your way to our club so far away from Bielefeld. Welcome to the best fans in the world!

    It will certainly be difficult to get tickets for a home game next season, but I wouldn't switch to an away game. Otherwise you would miss the unique atmosphere on the Alm, as well as the gathering of fans before the game on the Siggi (Siegfriedplatz) and after the game in the pubs on Stapenhorststraße.

    Your best chance will probably be a rather unattractive opponent and speed when tickets go on sale.

    If I become a member myself for 6 months will the chances get higher? I don't know how the sales work. When it starts will the tickets be available for members first? I will see after the games against Dusseldorf and Kiel tho.

    Against Kiel, IMO you have no chance if you get the memberchip these days. They are totally overworked, I wait since April for my registration.

    Better chances in some aways maybe, first of all so in bigger stadions like H96, S04, Berlin, Dusseldorf.
